What does a Chartered Building Surveyor look for during a survey?

Home Buyers Report (Level 2 Survey)

(Suitable for properties constructed from 1980 onwards)

When buying a home do you know what you are letting yourself in for? It may have problems you will not be aware of, but which a qualified member of the Society of Chartered Surveyor Ireland (SCSI) is trained to look for and report on.

Before you commit to purchase, make sure you have an RICS Home Survey to help you:

  • Find out the condition of the property
  • Manage your risk
  • Reassure you are doing the right thing
Home Buyers Report

The report is colour coded to make it easy to see if and where there are problems with the condition of the property.

Building Survey Report (Level 3 Survey)

(Suitable for properties constructed prior to 1980)
Bulding Inspection during construction

A Building Survey Report is a detailed survey of a residential property to enable the Surveyor to advise what impact its condition will have upon the client. We give a comprehensive report on its condition alerting the client of any future expenses which will be incurred. The final Report follows a detailed examination of the fabric of the building by an experienced and professionally qualified surveyor. A standard survey comprises: A description of how the property is constructed, an analysis of significant defects and advice on appropriate further actions and a budget estimate on significant repairs.
